Anything
Put enough letters together and you have a word.
Enough words and you have a sentence. A book.
But the same bits can also describe a colour.
Each colour on your screen is just three numbers:
how much red, how much green, how much blue.
Stack millions of colours together and you have an image.
Show 60 images a second and you have video.
Sample sound 44,000 times a second and you have music.
Same bits. Used differently.
But none of this started with silicon chips. Or even electricity.
