If that slide felt like a lot, take a breath. You will never have to do that arithmetic yourself.

Strip it back and only one idea remains: some inputs matter more than others, and the neuron weighs them, adds them up, and decides if the total is enough.

That is the whole thought. Everything else in this module is just that same small idea, repeated and stacked until it can do something remarkable.
