In The Amnesiac Oracle, the Scribe carries the whole scroll to the temple for every new question.

The temple can keep working notes for the scroll's unchanged beginning. When the same opening returns, the Oracle continues from those notes instead of repeating every earlier calculation.

The Scribe still carries the scroll.

The Oracle still remembers nothing.
