The model cannot reach out

A language model receives information and produces more information.

Ask it to list tomorrow's meetings and it can write a convincing list. But the list did not come from a calendar unless some program fetched the calendar first.

The model cannot independently open an app, read a private file, or press a button. A program outside the model must do that work.

Intelligence does not create a doorway.
