Change early, recompute more

An edit does not erase every possible match.

The old prefix still matches up to the first changed token. The match stops there. Material after that point now follows a different beginning and needs fresh calculation.

Change token 900 of a 1,000-token prefix, and most of the old work may survive.

Change token 10, and very little does.
