Match the check to the consequence
Trying ten possible invitation titles is cheap. You can judge them yourself and discard nine.
Publishing the wrong start time is different. Neighbours might arrive after the volunteers have packed up. Compare the time with the current organiser's brief before sending.
If the draft promises electrical safety, an appealing sentence is not enough. Confirm what the organisers can actually offer and have the relevant responsible person approve the wording.
Choose a check that fits the claim. Use a current source for current facts, a calculator for an exact total, and a qualified reviewer for a decision that needs specialist judgement.
The more costly or difficult to reverse a mistake would be, the stronger the checking process should be.
