Who keeps the memory?

A new chat can begin without the earlier conversation. Unless the app supplies the repair café brief again, the model has no dependable way to know those event details.

That does not mean closing a tab erases stored messages. Storage belongs to the app. It may retain the chat, let you reopen it, or save selected notes for later requests.

If an assistant remembers your event in a new chat, the app may have included saved material in the input. The continuity can be useful even though the trained weights have not changed.

Keep the three places separate: learned patterns in the weights, working information in the context, and saved records in the application.
