Several views of the same sentence

The trophy sentence contains several relationships at once.

It connects to trophy. Big describes it. The trophy is the thing trying to fit inside the suitcase.

One attention calculation produces one set of weights and one mix. Instead of asking that one mix to capture every relationship, the model makes several mixes side by side.

Think of several transparent highlighting sheets laid over the same sentence. Each sheet can mark different connections. Stack the sheets, and the model has all those connections together.

Each sheet in this analogy is an . Every head has its own queries, keys, values, and weights. The model combines their results.

The heads are not assigned specific jobs. Training decides what patterns they develop, and real patterns are often less tidy than this example.
