Right now, you are reading these words and deciding what they mean. That feels like thinking.

Now picture a calculator showing:

2 + 3 = 5

The calculator followed a set of steps and produced the right answer. Does that feel like thinking too?

The two cases probably feel different. But what difference are you noticing?
