One switch

It started with a switch. On or off. One or zero.

From that, people built gates. From gates, circuits. From circuits, processors. From processors, software. From software, systems that can read, write, recognise faces, hold a conversation.

Your phone's chip alone contains roughly 15 billion of those switches. Each one either on or off. Each one participating in a gate, a circuit, a calculation.

Nobody designed AI from scratch. Each generation took what existed and found a way to do more with it. Layer by layer, abstraction by abstraction, until the distance from a light switch to something resembling human intelligence became possible.

That chain started here.
