What the switch hides

The switch looks simple because almost everything behind it has been hidden.

A wall switch hides wires, circuits, power lines, and machines. The switch on this page hides rules that change the colours across the screen.

You do not operate any of that yourself. Someone gathered the complicated work behind one useful choice: light or dark.

A simple way to use something complicated is called an abstraction.

The switch does not remove the complexity. It gives you a way to use it.
